From less than a day old Kai was raised on a 50ft converted trawler on the BC coast where he spent the majority of his childhood on the ocean. During this time he and his family contracted their vessel to Department Of Fisheries and Oceans where they would conduct Salmon enumeration work and Coho fry surveys to hundreds of rivers and creeks on the coast. After traveling hundreds of thousands of miles on the boat Kai grew to know the BC coast like the back of his hand and is commercially registered to drive any passenger vessel up to 5 tones.

From sea to sky, Kai then became a certified advanced drone pilot and snowmobile guide where he followed a passion for filmmaking and backcountry snowboarding. This allowed him to immerse himself in the mountains and have a deeper understanding of how to work and thrive in the high alpine environment.

   With his unique upbringing and love for the mountains Kai has developed an initiate understanding of the natural world around him. His knowledge of weather, tides and traveling too hard to reach places makes him an invaluable asset on any team.
